In order to serve you the perfect cup of coffee, we entered into a cooperation agreement with "Arcaffè Italia" which is based in the port city of Livorno, Toscana. The company was established more than 100 years ago and for generations, the founding Meschini family has handed down the secrets of perfect coffee roasting and the art of blending the beans.

Enrico Meschini, Company CEO today, is the fourth generation of this coffee family. Three other family members assist him in maintaining the traditions and the family's recipes: Francesco, Marco and Lauro. Giorgio had been in charge of their roasting facility for 60 years, until he passed away quite recently. Arcaffè has always been identified as a company producing extremely high quality products in the field.

Already by the end of the 19th century, most of the coffee beans imported from Central America through Livorno were for the Meschini brothers, Antonio and Luigi, who began to develop the desire for quality by creating the finest blends. In no time, the brothers' search for perfect coffee became an obsession that seems to have been imprinted into the family's DNA. Between the two World Wars, the "Roma" blend developed by the brothers became identified with the "Bar Roma", the most popular espresso bar in Livorno.

In 1996, Enrico Meschini initiated the CSC organization - Certified Specialty Coffee of Italy – and is its executive director. A limited number of Italian companies are members, and it consolidates a number of growers who are committed to the regulations and policy of a particular growing method. In fact, the source of the uniquely flavored "boutique" coffee beans of the member companies is Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Colombia, Guatemala, India and Indonesia.

The coffee-plantation owners who have been authorized as members do not offer their produce on the international coffee exchanges, but are in personal contact with representatives of the CSC. The crops picked in their authorized plantations are examined by the CSC representatives. The processing systems improve every year, as a result of research aimed at constantly improving the coffee beans. The CSC organization also supports a number of social and environmental projects in the areas surrounding its authorized plantations.

The hidden secret of "Arcaffè Italia" lies in the rigorous, careful checking of the coffee beans and the strict adherence, over the years, to the original blend formulas. The company produces and markets over a million kilos of coffee annually, to such diverse countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Canada, Korea, Hong Kong, Germany, Holland, South Africa, Poland, Luxembourg and Israel.
