For years, ever since the espresso machine was invented, Italy has been considered the modern bastion of fine coffee. Italian coffee is known around the world as the greatest drink and people dream of traveling to Italy, just for the taste of the excellent coffee beverages. We established the Arcaffè chain in 1995, with the aim of bringing real Italian espresso bars to Israel. In Italy, espresso bars are the customary meeting place for coffee lovers, local business people and nearby residents. At Arcaffè, just as in Italy, the quality and fine taste of the coffee and the way it is prepared and served have become crucial to our concept.
To bring the Italian coffee experience to Israel, we first had to visit Italy. In fact, we learned all the secrets of the coffee bean blends, their roasting and how to prepare authentic Italian espresso, in Livorno, Toscana. We were taught by the masters, the Meschini family, our partners and the founders of "Arcaffè Italia".
To satisfy our passion for the best possible coffee (in Italian: "passione d'espresso"), we decided to follow the coffee bean from its source: from the plantation, through the unique blending procedure, the roasting process at the chain's roasting facility (to ensure that the coffee is at the peak of its freshness, flavor and aroma) until the final preparation of a cup of classic Italian coffee.
It is common knowledge that a typical Italian drinks several cups of coffee a day, so some of these are accompanied by a good ciabatta, foccacia or tramizzino sandwich, all usually available at nearly all of the thousands of espresso bars throughout Italy. Therefore, we also learned to prepare authentic sandwiches from the appropriate Italian food "gurus".
Only after we had established our own Arcaffè coffee roasting facility in Israel, and only after mastering the secrets of preparing authentic Italian coffee beverages, did we begin launching our own French bakery. We went to Paris where we found Eric Kayser, one of France's leading bakers and the man who established Maison Kayser. It was from him that we gained the expertise to establish our own authentic French "patisserie-boulangerie" which exactly replicates the way the classic French breads and pastries we all adore, are baked.
As a result, at Arcaffè branches we bring you the best of both worlds, united in a perfect culinary experience. We offer you a cup of Italian coffee, as served throughout Italy; and real French breads, classic French pastries and bakery items, just like those available in France. Moreover, and no less important, we offer all this with the service standards you would expect from the leading American companies.
The branches themselves add to your sense of perfection, with their cosmopolitan design combined with a relaxed at-home feeling. Over the last 12 years we have opened about 30 independently owned sales outlets (two of which are in Paris), and we have become the biggest and most prestigious non-franchised chain in Israel. This allows us tight, uniform and precise management of the branches, in accordance with Company policy, including a standardized pricing policy.
Our factory, established in 2003 with its own roasting and baking facilities, allows us to remain faithful to our commitment to the high standards of service and the quality of the items we serve. We preserve the authenticity, taste and freshness of each and every item.
In order to always offer you the perfect culinary experience, Arcaffè searches constantly for the best products and raw materials. We are committed to serving fresh, tasty and inviting products quickly and efficiently, for your ultimate enjoyment.
